With the app Early Christian Cologne you can seek out those churches in Cologne which have their origins prior to AD 1000. For the first time an app offers the possibility of finding churches with an early Christian tradition and calling up the groundplans of their architectural remains.

The basic information on excavations, dates and functional classification of the building phases prior to AD 1000, in addition to pictures and plans are provided. The churches themselves are easy to locate. On the map you can see all stations, as well as your present position. When you are near a station, this will be indicated and owing to GPS you will always know your whereabouts.

And the best thing is, since all mapping is saved in the app, the use abroad is free (providing the “data-roaming” is switched off)!
